Continued reports are coming in of ice movement and water issues on the Grimes Road in Caribou / North Caribou Road in Fort Fairfield. The road continues to be closed and impassable at this time. We encourage all motorists to please use alternate routes and remind everyone once again to never travel across flooded roadways.
As of 07:40 PM, Mapleton EMA has reported that the Hughes Road is open and passable.
As of April 16th, 2014 at 03:30 PM, the current roadways are reported affected. Please remember never to cross water on roadways – it is impossible to gauge the depth or integrity of the roadway beneath.
