The Aroostook County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a training course on the Federal Emergency Management Agency training program for Area Command Staff. Prior completion of the ICS 100 – 200 series is a prerequisite for attendance to this program.
This 2-day course is designed for a multidiscipline organization and staffing, incident and event planning/staffing, organizing a response to an incident or audience of persons who would likely serve as supervisors in an ICS structure. Topics include planned event and incident resource management. The course includes group activities, a tabletop exercise, and a final exam. This program is intended for middle management and command staff personnel.
Target Audience: All senior full and part time command level emergency responders and specialty personnel responsible for developing Incident Action Plans for expanding incidents should complete this course. All students will have completed up to NIMS ICS 200 (Basic) prior to taking the course. Copy of certificate must accompany application.
Course Location: The course will be held at the Aroostook County EMA Office EOC room. The facility is located at 158 Sweden Street in Caribou, ME. Class will run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. The course is free; all other expenses are the responsibility of the student.
